Black Soutache Embroidered Silk Woven

Black silk dupioni is embroidered overall in tone-on-tone black soutache braid. Elegant and sophisticated, deadstock, vintage '90s, produced in India. The braid is straight stiched flat with a subtle sheen and adds a touch of weight to the fine grained silk, which is not at all thick or heavy. Has a lightly textured hand, flat  on the back side with straight shadow stitching, and light crisp drape. Really beautiful! Right for a dress, jacket, duster coat, tunic, shirt, kimono, caftan.
