Black Lightweight Ponte Knit

Basic pure black in a ponte that is not too light, not too heavy. Perfect. I'm so glad to find a source for this wonderful basic, a great quality ponte (has the 'good' fiber content, rayon/nylon/spandex that I see in fine RTW), AND in a lighter weight so it is a good choice for tops, T-shirts, cardi's skirts and dresses...more a 'top' weight than a 'bottom' weight, tho you could use it for a soft pant too. Crosswise stretch with some lengthwise stretch. Very stable, no rolling at the cut edge so it will be easy to sew and wear. Ideal for wardrobing and travel. Makes the ideal little dress, t-shirt, tunic or top. Just the right weight for a little black dress, t-shirt, top or tunic, not too thin or thick, a flattering weight and drape. This is the fabric I used for the pattern envelope on Vogue 9254 in the black and white version, and is the same base fabric as used in the green dress with sleeves also on the pattern envelope.
